The city of Schoelcher where the monastery is located, is north of Fort-de-France. When you leave the airport, take the motorway towards Fort-de-France. When you get to the Fort-de-France bypass, you will bypass Fort-de-France to go towards Schoelcher.

The city of Schoelcher

When you arrive at the Schoelcher town centre, you exit the bypass after going over a bridge, going in the direction of the “Rectorat”. Follow the signs for the “Rectorat” up a very steep road. Go past the “Rectorat” on the left and you will arrive at a T junction. Turn right and continue on the same road until you come to the monastery which is indicated by a sign on the right. (Do not confuse with the Centre Saint-Raphaël which is just before.) The monastery is almost at the end of the road, on the edge of the forest, in an area with no traffic.
