The building of an infirmary

View of the constructionWe were missing an important element in a monastery : an infirmary where the sick could recuperate and also where the older monks could finish their days. We chose to build it in a space that had been empty between two rows of cell buildings, thereby also joining the two buildings (see photo opposite). It is a place where humanity and charity towards the sick are practised. You can imagine, therefore, the importance of an infirmary for a monastery.

The interior of the infirmary
As you can see, the work is not finished and it has even been stopped for the past six months for lack of financing. We are in need of the support of generous, beneficent souls to finance this important project. May God help them as He helps us.
Opposite, you can see the interior of a future sick room.
